Senior Product Manager – Drive Innovation and Make a Real Impact
Abilia
Are you an experienced Product Manager with a passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives? At Abilia, we develop Assistive Technologies and Digital Services that empower individuals with disabilities and special needs to live more independently and with enhanced quality of life.
We’re now looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the development and advancement of our digital service platforms — essential tools that support end users, their support persons, and care givers. This role also encompasses responsibility for related products that integrate with these platforms. You’ll be part of an ambitious and innovative team, committed to improve everyday life for people with special needs to increase independence, participation and inclusion in society.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll take full ownership of your product portfolio — from shaping the initial business case and product strategy to managing launches, driving growth, and planning for eventual phase-out. Your focus will be on maximizing user and customer value while ensuring business impact and profitability.
You will define a clear roadmap based on market insights, customer and user journeys, and commercial potential. You’ll be responsible for creating and executing business plans, setting strategic direction, and ensuring that products evolve in line with both organizational goals and changing market needs.
This role is pivotal in aligning cross-functional teams around a shared product vision — making sure that every step, from idea to phase-out, supports a scalable and sustainable offering.
You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across R&D, Marketing, Sales, QA/RA, Operations and Finance. You’ll also build strong relationships with external stakeholders in our markets.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of your products — from business case and concept to launch, growth, and phase-out
- Define and execute product strategies, roadmaps, and business plans that align with company objectives
- Identify market opportunities and generate insights through customer and user research
- Map and optimize customer and user journeys to ensure relevance and impact
- Set and monitor product performance targets, including profitability and customer value metrics
- Lead go-to-market planning and collaborate with marketing and sales on successful product launches
- Ensure products remain competitive, sustainable, and aligned with evolving market and regulatory needs
- Contribute to continuous improvement in product management practices, tools, and processes
What We’re Looking For
- A university degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in product management or a similar strategic role
- Proven track record of developing and executing product strategies, roadmaps, and business plans
- Strong commercial mindset with experience driving product profitability and growth
- Solid understanding of customer and user journeys, and how to translate insights into product opportunities
- Experience managing product launches and lifecycle transitions, including phase-out planning
- Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience working closely with development teams and technical stakeholders
- Ability to evaluate technical feasibility and make informed trade-off decisions in collaboration with R&D
- Experience from MedTech, HealthTech, Assistive Technology, or social care is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
Who You Are
You’re a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a user and customer-first mindset. You thrive in dynamic environments and are skilled at balancing long-term vision with short-term priorities. With excellent interpersonal skills, you navigate cross-functional collaboration with ease and act as the crucial bridge between tech, business, and the people who rely on our solutions every day.
Join us in shaping the future of inclusive, life-changing technology.
At Abilia, your work truly matters.
