LeMaitre, a leading global company in the medical device industry, is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their team at the EMEA headquarters in Germany.
This newly established position comes at an exciting time as the company continues its growth journey, while already operating in more than 90 countries. As Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing valuable insight to support sound financial decisions at the EMEA headquarters.
Financial Reporting & Compliance in a Dynamic Role
As Senior Accountant, your responsibilities include preparing and analysing financial statements in accordance with GAAP/HGB, leading month-end and year-end closing processes, and managing general ledger accounts. You will perform reconciliations, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure tax compliance while assisting with tax returns and audits. Additionally, you will oversee internal controls, manage Sarbanes-Oxley reporting, and drive process improvements, including automation initiatives. Collaborating closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams, you will provide financial insights, manage cash flow, and oversee monthly consolidation. This role requires strong financial acumen, structured work methods, and an analytical, solution-oriented mindset.
Detail-Oriented and Versatile Finance Profile
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, tax compliance, and budgeting. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential, as well as you should be highly organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines efficiently. We expect you to have a degree or vocational training in accounting, finance, or a related field. With at least five years of experience in accounting, you should be proficient in financial management systems, ERP software, and accounting standards such as GAAP or HGB. Adaptability and flexibility are key in this position, since LeMaitre is experiencing growth, as well as changes in the technical landscape.
