Take the lead in driving the strategic development and growth of Heléns
Heléns is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead and drive the development of the operations in Denmark. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a business with great potential, where you will be responsible for the commercial and operational success of the business in Denmark, in alignment with the strategic direction of Heléns Region North and the Royal Van Leeuwen Group. Your role will involve driving key objectives, managing budgets, and ensuring a profitable and sustainable business while fostering strong business relationships.
In the role as General Manager, you will have 7 direct reports and report to the Managing Director Region North, located in Halmstad, Sweden. With Heléns proximity to their Nordic customers, Heléns is a flexible organization, with the strength and stability of a multinational parent company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, ensure financial targets are met, and oversee P&L responsibility.
- Sales & Business Growth: Drive commercial success, identify new opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Operations & Supply Chain: Oversee production, distribution, and compliance with quality standards.
- New Business Development: Expand market presence, acquire new customers, and maintain a strong customer balance.
- Procurement & Inventory: Optimize stock levels, negotiate supplier terms, and ensure policy compliance.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Foster cross-functional teamwork, drive process improvements, and develop expertise within the organization.
Experienced commercial profile with strong leadership skills
To succeed in this role, we believe you have proven experience in managing and developing a sales-driven business within industry, production, or logistics. A strong background in business development, customer relationship management, and market expansion is essential, along with solid sales experience, preferably as a Key Account Manager handling larger accounts.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of both commercial and operational processes, including budgeting, target management, and profitability monitoring. Previous experience in a group environment with reporting responsibilities is highly valued, as well as knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
We are seeking a strong leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate teams at all levels for optimal performance and growth. Expertise in change management and business transformation is crucial, and an academic background in economics, technology, or industrial management is preferred. Fluency in both Danish and English, written and spoken, is required.
