SATS is seeking to appoint a new Facility & Project Manager to lead and strengthen the properties and overall user experience of SATS Denmark. This role is critical for ensuring the company’s continuous development in terms of facility and equipment.
The Facility & Project Manager will play a key role in implementing the SATS Fitness concepts in new and existing centers, as well as optimizing the use of training areas.
Your role as Facility & Project Manager
As Facility & Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for property, facility and equipment management, including P&L ownership of OPEX and CAPEX budgets. You will act as property manager, optimizing SATS footprint in collaboration with the Nordic real estate team, and oversee greenfield projects, relocations, renovations, and lease negotiations.
Your role includes optimizing lease costs, utilities, and supplier contracts while ensuring cost-efficient maintenance and equipment management. In close collaboration with the Club Manager, you will help optimize equipment layout and space utilization for an enhanced fitness experience.
As Facility & Project Manager, you will lead a team of three technicians and report to the Country Manager, Thorbjørn Milling. You will be part of the Danish Country Operations Management (COM) team, supporting key decisions for the Danish market.
Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and execute club environment enhancements, including renovations (flooring, lighting, showers, etc.).
- Communicate with relevant COM and club teams in collaboration with Operations.
- Manage contractors directly or via third parties.
- Plan, schedule, and execute new club openings and major renovations.
- Lead coordination with external partners, including tender processes.
- Collaborate closely with the Country and Finance Managers to optimize costs.
- Provide input to the Nordic Club Design and Construction Manual for cost-effective solutions.
- Align with Nordic standards and update processes based on Danish building, safety, and accessibility regulations.
- Report on project progress, CAPEX AND OPEX spending, and SLA adherence for both equipment and property.
Your Profile
We are looking for a results- and data driven Project Manager with a minimum of five years of experience in project management, particularly with a proven track record in construction project budgeting and execution. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the fitness industry, either through direct work experience or active personal involvement.
In this role, you will be responsible for effective stakeholder management, ensuring seamless collaboration between multiple parties. Your ability to lead complex projects involving various stakeholders is essential, as are your strong communication and teamwork skills in both Danish and English.
You are detail-oriented and quality-focused, always striving for cost-efficient solutions while maintaining high standards. A proactive and results-driven mindset will be key to success in this position.
