Nordic Medical Science Liaison – Oncology

Ipsen Nordic

Ipsen is now looking for a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Oncology team, focusing on neuroendocrine tumors. This is a Therapeutic Area that IPSEN has a long track record of experience in and currently are launching a new product.

Drive scientific exchange and build a strong Nordic network!

In this field-based position, you will act as a scientific expert and a key player in shaping Ipsen’s medical footprint across the Nordic countries, with Sweden as a primary focus, followed by the other Nordic countries.

You will build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), communicate medical and scientific information, and provide educational support. You will also map the treatment landscape and patient pathways, supporting the preparation for a new indication.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Share scientific information about Ipsen’s oncology products and research with healthcare professionals across the Nordics.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other stakeholders within the healthcare community.
  • Provide education and support to healthcare professionals regarding the use of Ipsen’s products and treatment protocols.
  • Build scientific partnerships and support scientific activities like research and local educational events
  • Provide insights from the field to help shape Ipsen’s strategy
  • Lead scientific activities and establish Ipsen’s presence in this Therapeutic Area
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders: medical advisors, brand managers, market access and commercial teams
  • Stay updated on scientific developments and key trends in oncology

You will be part of Ipsen’s Nordic Medical Affairs team, reporting to the local Medical Director, and will work cross-functionally with the broader cross-functional organization as launch activities intensify.

You are an ideal match if you:

  • Have a PhD, MD, PharmD, or MSc in Life Sciences
  • Bring 3+ years of experience in Medical Affairs or MSL roles, ideally in oncology
  • Have a strong understanding of the oncology patient journey and are familiar with treatment pathways in neuroendocrine tumors
  • Are well-connected with KOLs and oncology centers in the Nordic region, and are energized by building new relationships
  • Have a pioneering mindset, able to navigate ambiguity and enjoy mapping new territory – scientifically and strategically
  • Are highly self-driven, with natural curiosity and the ability to spot new opportunities in the field
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish or Danish, and have excellent English skills – both verbal and written
  • Are a true team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work closely with brand managers, medical advisors, and commercial teams

We offer:

  • A unique opportunity to shape the launch of a new oncology indication
  • A collaborative environment with strong onboarding support and a dedicated MSL community
  • Close collaboration with a highly experienced medical and commercial team
  • A chance to make a real impact on patient care and Ipsen’s oncology strategy

This attractive position offers the opportunity to be part of a pioneering team at Ipsen, with a focus on oncology and neuroendocrine tumors. If you are eager to make a difference and have the required experience, we encourage you to apply!
