As a Technical Support at Tecan, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing expert technical support for our instruments, software, and hardware. Through various communication channels such as phone, email, and online tools.

This role includes both first line tech support as well as coordination of escalated service errands. You will support our clients by offering the best solution in accordance with current service contracts. You will develop and maintain customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through close collaboration and coordination with the field service team, application specialists and Tecan’s sales team.

Our Nordic headquarter are located on Sveavägen, Stockholm. You will be part of an international technical support team where you support customers in Sweden/Nordic region. You will also support other European countries when needed.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Positively interact with customers, understanding their requirements, troubleshoot and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Gain suitable understanding and take relevant initiatives to fulfill customers’ expectations.
  • Actively manage the interactions between external customers and internal stakeholders to gain great knowledge of the customer expectations and requirements.
  • Escalate errands when needed and communicate with internal functions such as field service engineers, application specialists and product managers.
  • Ownership and responsibility for customer satisfaction and ensuring positive outcomes for all involved. This involves active communication with both internal and external customers, making sure all parties involved are aware of progress and outcomes.
  • Maintain and develop your knowledge of products, processes and procedures.

What you bring along

For this role, we are looking for candidates with a technical background combined with experience in customer or technical support. You are highly customer-focused and an excellent listener with the ability to quickly understand and prioritize customer requirements.

  • Degree in Biology, Computer Science, Technical Engineering or similar academic background. Alternatively proven equivalent know-how acquired in professional career.
  • A couple of year experience in a laboratory environment, Life Science or Service industry.
  • Previous experience of a customer service-related role, preferably within technical support and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen effectively and provide thoughtful solutions.
  • Fluent in English and very good Swedish language skills. Knowledge of other Nordic languages is a plus.
