Green Energy Group is seeking a Head of Product & Technology for Solar Solutions for Mobility and Transport – Shape the Future of Renewable Energy and Sustainable Mobility.

Green Energy Group is looking for a Head of Product & Technology to lead and take responsibility for their complete product portfolio across hardware, IoT solution and software.  The role is responsible for both hardware products and software, with the purpose of ensuring world-leading, transformative, innovative, and scalable solar solutions. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, hands-on leader passionate about driving the future of clean energy and creating impactful sustainable technologies in the rapidly evolving mobility and transport sector.

This role holds the potential to be your path toward a future CTO position. You will have full product ownership – from idea and concept development to execution, deployment and commercialization – and a key part of your responsibility will be to understand and optimize the entire customer experience and the value the solution delivers.

Shape the Future of Green Energy and Sustainable Mobility

As the Head of Product & Technology, you will oversee product strategy and development across hardware and software components, playing a central role in aligning technology with market demands for mobility and transport. You will be responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap, from concept to commercialization, ensuring the integration of the latest solar cell technology, efficient charge controllers, and market-leading software. Your goal will be to deliver transformative and scalable solar solutions that will revolutionize the mobility and transport industries.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of Green Energy Group’s product portfolio, working with internal teams and external research partners like DTU/DTU Risø, as well as hardware manufacturers. You will be instrumental in driving product innovation and integrating cutting-edge technologies into the company’s solutions, with a focus on meeting the growing demands of solar-powered mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for both hardware (solar panels, charge controllers) and software (real-time monitoring, analytics, UX, IoT integration) for mobility and transport solutions.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept development to commercialization.
  • Lead collaborations with Sales, Marketing, and Customers to ensure alignment with market needs.
  • Drive partnerships with key research institutions, including DTU, to foster innovation.
  • Monitor industry developments, evaluating new technologies and competitor offerings to refine strategy.
  • Engage with Danish hardware manufacturers to assess the feasibility of local production.
  • Lead a high-performing, cross-functional team to ensure efficient development and market success.

Your Profile:

  • Experience leading product development in hardware/software, preferably in renewable energy, tech, or IoT.
  • Proven expertise in product strategy, product lifecycle management, and market alignment.
  • Strong background in working with hardware development (solar technology, charge controllers), and preferably also knowledge of software development (IoT, data analytics, UX).
  • Familiarity with solar energy systems, charge controllers, and energy management solutions.
  • A hands-on leader with the ability to drive technical development and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to navigate and leverage research partnerships, such as with DTU.
  • Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field (a bonus if you have experience with embedded systems or IoT – and the automotive industry).
